HISTORY & ORIGIN

Goat and sheep milk are deeply intertwined with Greek tradition and agricultural heritage. From ancient times to the present day, it has been regarded as a source of nourishment and strength, holding a central place in the Greek diet. Free ranging goats and sheeps of the Greek countryside graze on natural pastures, producing high-quality milk, rich in nutrients and exceptional in flavor.

The ultrafiltration process to produce our Whey, applied with respect for tradition and nature, preserves the milk’s nutritional properties, ensuring a pure and natural protein. Used for centuries in the preparation of various dairy products, it has provided well-being and energy to generations.

Our Sheep Goat Whey Protein continues this tradition, offering a protein of high nutritional value. A unique blend of tradition and modern dietary needs, it is THE perfect choice for those seeking pure quality and balance in their nutrition

FAQs

  • What is the % of sheep vs. goat milk whey in our Sheep-Goat Protein ?

Approximately 70% Sheep Milk whey & 30% Goat Milk whey. As the availability of these milks is relatively limited there is no guarantee of exact % ratio between the two sources. These % follow approximately the existing populations of sheeps and goats in Greece. Their milks are used at these approximate ratios mainly for cheese production, the process from which we collect our whey. The nutritional profiles of these two milk types is similar, differences exist though, to name a few: Goat’s milk is higher in zinc and selenium, while sheep’s milk is higher in vitamin B12, vitamin C, folate and magnesium. Sheep's milk is higher in fat and has a milder natural "scent" than Goat's milk. These differences are transferred to different degrees to our whey powder product.
