The Matcha, known as the most refined form of Green Tea, has its roots in 12th century Japan. Buddhist monks used it in their ceremonies to enhance mental clarity. This Tea reinforced their concentration during meditation.
Its preparation method from whole tea leaves into fine powder, results in a unique taste and aroma. Samurais consumed it before battles to boost their mental concentration and stamina. Its production process includes careful shading of the leaves before their harvest. This allows Matcha to acquire its unique composition, rich in L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation.
